About
I have been in the craft world since 2022. I am a guy from Abitibi, hence perhaps my passion for wood.
It all started while I was walking along a riverbank, kicking a piece of wood that was lying around. After a few steps, the idea came to me that there was surely something to be done with this piece of wood, all well rounded by the sand and water. So, I decided to do some research and finally came across the website of a skilled sculptor who inspired me to develop my own technique, in order to create montages that gave shape to my imagination.
Often on television, we hear artists or athletes say: "We have to believe in ourselves and not hesitate and then go for it." Well, that's what I did...
When I pick up a piece of wood on the bank of a river, I see a beak, a wing, another part of an animal. From there, it can take me hours and days to find the pieces, which, in a very precise order and meticulous arrangement, will allow me to complete my work. Generally, to make a work, between the gathering of wood, the design, and the assembly, I can devote 300 hours.
